Wipe, spread, garnish, or wrapthis tenugui hand towel can be used for a variety of purposes. These cotton-cloth towels are hand-dyed using the chusen technique. Unlike other traditional dyeing techniques, chusen gives the towel a unique look and texture that can be seen on both sides. The towels become softer with each wash.

The Kurawanka Collection gets its name from the Kurawanka period of Hasami ceramics. The series is reasonably priced and comprised of dishes meant to withstand the stresses of everyday use. We have developed our own kurawanka glaze to reproduce the no-frills look that characterized the original style of the period. The series’ simple shapes and sizes will match any type of cuisine.
